What is BOTOX?

One of the most common cosmetic procedures worldwide, BOTOX® is derived from the botulinum toxin but is safe when used in cosmetic treatment. When injected directly into the muscles of treated areas, BOTOX® temporarily relaxes the underlying muscle activity that causes wrinkles and lines.

Now used in over 78 countries, BOTOX® is FDA-approved for use on crow’s feet and wrinkles in the brow area. Depending on the area you are having treated, you will receive between three and five injections. Typically, one treatment session takes approximately 10 minutes.

What are the Benefits of BOTOX®?

Choosing BOTOX® over other skin rejuvenation treatments has several benefits, including:

How Long Will My Results Last?

After treatment with BOTOX®, your skin will show improvement after 24-48 hours. Although full results can last for up to four months, the neurotoxin will wear off and wrinkles will return. With regular treatment, visible signs of aging will be effectively managed.

Am I a Good Candidate for BOTOX®?

Men and women who have moderate to severe lines and are seeking a non-surgical treatment may be good candidates for BOTOX®. During your consultation, an allergy test may be performed to ensure that you will not develop an adverse reaction to the treatment.

Are There Any Side Effects?

Minor bruising, swelling, redness and itching at injection sites are common after treatment, but will fade after a day or so. Although BOTOX® is proven to be safe through many clinical trials, rare side effects may occur, which will be discussed during your consultation.

After treatment, it is advised to refrain from rubbing or massaging treated areas, as the botulinum toxin can move to other areas of the face and cause drooping or weakness.
