Why Many Women Consider Breast Reduction

July 23, 2018 by Lauren Trevino

breast reduction

Breast reduction and revision treatments aren’t as popular as breast augmentation, but many women have had surgeries to reduce their breast size. There are multiple reasons to use this type of treatment to get the desired breast sizes.

Back Pain

If you have large breasts, you’re likely to suffer from extreme back pain. Big breasts exert a lot of weight on the chest, causing pain in the lower back. It’s important to seek advice from a doctor to determine whether the size of your breasts has a negative effect on your back. Many women undergo reduction treatments to ease back pain.

Dislike for Appearance

Not every woman is impressed with how her bosom looks. Some women consider reducing the size of their breasts for the sole purpose of enhancing their appearance.

Moreover, most women can’t fit in their clothes easily. Therefore, they’re rarely comfortable about their looks. Breast reduction is helpful as it can help women boost their self-esteem.

Breathing Issues

Since large breasts place a lot of weight on the chest, they can cause breathing difficulties. Doctors advise patients to consider breast reduction if their breathing problems are caused by the size of their breasts.

Lifestyle and Exercise

An ample bosom can cause inconvenience during exercise. Many women opt for breast reductions after realizing that their breasts are a hindrance to their workout progress.

Breast Reduction Is Less Invasive

This treatment has not only become affordable over the years, but it has also become less invasive. Most reductions leave minimal scarring because cosmetic surgeons use small incisions. The scars following the incisions are barely noticeable.

Sagging Issues

The breasts of a woman begin to sag as she ages. Some women, however, experience more sagging than others. Sagging breasts can make a woman feel uncomfortable in her own skin. Many use reduction treatments to make their breasts perkier.

Attention

A large bust can bring you unwanted attention. Many women feel violated when people stare at their chests. They, therefore, consider reductions to reduce the stares.

Out of Proportion

Big breasts can make women with small body frames self-conscious. If you feel like your breasts are too big for your body, it’d be wise to go for a breast reduction treatment.

Bra Strap Grooves

Bras often leave fine lines on the shoulders of wearers. These lines, however, appear as deep strap grooves in the shoulders of women with larger breasts. The weight of the breasts causes these grooves.

To avoid bra strap grooves from developing further, some people opt for cosmetic treatments that focus on reducing breast size.

Sleep Problems

Most women with large breasts struggle with finding comfortable sleeping positions. They need special pillows to sleep better at night. If you experience the same issue while sleeping, consider a breast reduction.
