We’ll explain clearly what results you can expect and when
We evaluate your breast tissue position, nipple location, degree of sagging, implant condition, and desired outcome. If nipples sit below the breast crease or point downward, or if there’s significant sagging over implants, a combined approach typically provides the best results. We’ll show what each option would achieve.
Absolutely! This procedure offers an excellent opportunity to update implants to better suit current preferences. You can go larger or smaller, switch from saline to silicone (or vice versa), or select different profiles or shapes. The lift allows us to reshape tissue around new implants for optimal results.
Most find recovery similar to their initial augmentation, sometimes even easier since we’re working with existing implant pockets. Most patients return to light activities within a week and resume normal routines (except heavy lifting) within 2 to 3 weeks.
Depending on the capsule condition, we may completely remove it (capsulectomy), partially remove it, or simply release it (capsulotomy) to accommodate new implants. If there’s concern about capsular contracture or BIA-ALCL, we recommend complete removal. We’ll discuss our recommendation during the consultation.
Many patients update implants after 10-15 years or when breast appearance changes. If you’ve experienced pregnancy, weight fluctuations, or simply aging effects since augmentation, you might benefit regardless of implant age. Best timing depends on your individual situation and goals.
