Restylane Silk for Thin Lips

September 26, 2016 by

Restylane Silk®

A lot of women would love to have fuller lips because full lips represent beauty and youthfulness. Most men find full lips attractive and kissable. Some women are born with thin lips while others have lost volume over time. The natural aging process is notorious for causing the lips to thin, and if you’ve noticed this happening to your lips, it could be time to consider Restylane Silk®.

You’ve probably heard of Restylane® products because they’re very popular. Restylane Silk® is one of the newest products, and it’s a type of dermal filler. The FDA has approved this injectable for the treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles.

It’s regularly used to diminish the appearance of wrinkles around the nose and mouth. It also has the potential to give your lips a fuller, luscious appearance. Like the original dermal filler, Restylane Silk® is made with hyaluronic acid, which is a natural substance that you have in your body.

Hyaluronic acid is the substance that makes moisture stay inside of your skin, so it’s responsible for giving skin a youthful, attractive appearance. The original Restylane® can work well for lip augmentation, but Restylane Silk® is specifically designed to enhance your lips.

During the procedure, Restylane Silk® will be injected directly into your lips. It’s delivered in the form of liquid gel and can smooth out the wrinkles that you have near your mouth. The injection will increase the fullness of your lips and make them look youthful.

It’s not uncommon for patients to ask about the difference between Restylane Silk® and the original. The biggest difference is the particle size of Restylane Silk®, which is smaller than the original. When compared with the original, this product is less viscous, so it has a much easier time flowing into target areas.

Restylane Silk® will give your lips a fuller appearance, and the results can last anywhere from three to six months. This procedure is particularly useful for patients who weren’t born with full lips.

The results from the treatment are instant, but they’ll diminish over time. To keep your lips looking full and luscious, you’ll need to get follow-up treatments.

According to studies, close to 100 percent of patients that have been treated with Restylane Silk® saw a noticeable improvement after 14 days. About 60 percent of patients who were given the injections maintained great lip fullness for over six months after the treatment.

If you want to increase the fullness of your lips for a more luscious look and are considering Restylane Silk®, visit The Institute of Aesthetic Surgery, with offices in Celebration and Altamonte Springs. Contact us today to schedule your consultation!
